I knew when I signed up for Water not Coal that the government would do everything it could to stall and deny the outcome. I knew there was no way they could allow it to pass. And this is still a kick in the fucking teeth. They won’t even allow us to use the tools they made us jump through hoops for

Smith confirmed that the "Water Not Coal" Petition will not be on the October ballot.
Confusingly, she said it could happen as early as Oct 2027, which would be a violation of the Citizen Initiative Act.
So why not just pull the trigger now?
