ICYMI: The state of Connecticut has filed to collect money from Mimi Torres-García's father, who filed a wrongful death lawsuit after his daughter was found dead in a plastic bin last year.
The state says he owes them money for the cost of his previous incarceration.

Single-stair legislation, which passed in the 2024 bonding bill, is likely to be repealed in emergency legislation approved by the state Senate yesterday. The House will vote on it today.
