4:24am all our interconnected fire alarms started to blare, jolting both of us awake. Ran to Emma’s nursery, and as soon as I turned the door knob, the whole house went silent.
The second pic I took wasn't actually at Stokercon, but on the plane headed home. Wound up sitting next to @shanehawk.com for 4 hours talking horror, both Indigenous and other. What are the odds? Probably the first long flight I didn't hate in my life. Thanks, Shane!

I really enjoyed Never Whistle At Night, a collection of dark short stories by Indigenous writers. Especially liked Quantum by Nick Medina, Collections by Amber Blaeser-Wardzala and The Prepper by Morgan Talty, but they're all very good
