Picking my dad up at his empty church parking lot and we spied a woman looking under her car hood. She’d pulled in because she heard meowing. It took us over an hour but we managed to rescue from her undercarriage this absolutely livid creature who very quickly calmed down in my hands. A great day.
To answer: this kitten was distributed by the system to the owner of the car. When we left, it was snuggled up in her husband’s arms, exhausted after the ordeal. I have two Jack Russells at home who believe cats are prey to be hunted. I would not risk a kitten’s life like that. ❤️
Did I, a woman who has more than too much on her plate, start a new project last night to build something fun and nerdy simply because I wish it existed? And is this project forcing me to learn what the hell Bash and Git are so that I can let you all use my stupid little nerd creation? You betcha.
I didn’t win the Herb Lipson Award for Column Excellence but it’s truly an honor to represent Pittsburgh among this group of national nominees 💛🖤
Pittsburgh, it’s a bit hazy out but the insanely bright Venus is sitting practically atop Jupiter. It’s so stunning. Go look to the west, babes. Can’t miss them.
New favorite cocktail. Multi-Pass at Butterjoint in Oakland. A delightful shade of green with a perfect mezcal smokiness. Forgot to take a photo but trust me. Not an ad!
I’m so excited for this! Finally, the George Washington movie Pittsburgh deserves.

Pittsburgh, if you missed the Venus/Jupiter dance in the haze yesterday evening, there’s an encore now. Look west. Venus above Jupiter. Mercury is right there too but you can’t see him. Just wave anyway. He can see you. 👋🏼
