Habeas corpus is THE most important right people have under their government. Without it, no other rights can exist, as the government can simply arrest & jail you & provide no reason for doing so or any means of challenging it. This is why it is the right they wish to destroy more than any other.

The question inside Trump's White House wasn't whether suspending habeas corpus was a good idea. It was how much the administration could get away with before the courts stopped them.
That's a warning worth paying attention to.
