Wonderful Awards & Medals ceremony last night @rgs.org . Best part was celebrating this amazing librarian and friend—so well deserved, Marcy!
Large, excited crowd to hear from Rose Mitchell, recently retired from the National Archives, speak at the #LondonMapFair. 1/2

Excited for this upcoming conference! Submit an abstract if you are interested in #maps and #archives. #skystorians #AcademicSky 🗃️
Had a great wander around the #GardenMuseum. Loved the gnomes, obviously, and the immersive temporary exhibition on Benton End house, garden, and art school in Suffolk in the 1950s. #museum #london 🗃️
Why not combine participation in the #map workshop with attending the #FREE private viewing of the new Gertrude Bell exhibition that evening! #exploration #skystorians 🗃️
If you like #art & #maps, don't miss 'Fragile Landscapes: Memory, Migration and Embodied Mapping,' a panel @paulmelloncentr.bsky.social on 25 June. It is a FREE event chaired by myself and featuring Nirmal Puwar and Rohini Rai, w/the art of Fathi Hassan, sponsored by the Sunderland Collection. 🗃️
Wandered up the road to Leighton House to see the Arab Hall: Past and Present exhibition. Enjoyed the openness about surviving evidence and willingness to reinterpret inclusively. This is ‘Facets in Resonance’ (2026) by Kamilah Ahmed. #museums #london
Like maps? art? Combine the two at this workshop! 31 July, 3:30-5pm, @rgs.org and led by Steph Morris and #FREE to all! (registration required). #skystorians 🗃️
