I feel like sometimes godfried also takes a bit of an unintentional "iohanna and her sister filia" approach to things which also doesnt help either of them. Neither of these positions is favorable. Merope overcorrects for it, also not great.

Again, not BAD parents, but definitely not winning any awards... like, the kids will be fine. A lot of baggage but sure as hell not neglected. Theyre happy for the most part, but man will they be moving out at the fist opportunity LMAO.
I think merope and godfried are Just Okay at parenting. Like together they do a fine job but seperately this could be disastrous. Regardless, both of those kids have a beautiful future of intensive therapy ahead of them.

Nobody's fault, but their parents have a lot of issues and both of parents were raised in "non optimal" situations so they are coming into this with weird biases that are. Well. Usually bad.
