📢 New paper out in the European Journal of Population (@eaps.bsky.social)! With Nicoletta Balbo and Francesco Billari, we investigated how Romania's 1960s abortion ban shaped the next generation's family formation outcomes.
The immediate consequences of abortion bans or restrictions are widely studied and discussed. What remains more overlooked are the long-term consequences, and how the effects can be carried across generations.
