One other interesting note about David MacNaughton is that he's also on the board of TCEnergy, alongside a boatload of Trump's nearest and dearest. TCEnergy was a proponent of Fortress Am-Can, now being referred to by Ford and Carney as "Fortress North America".

MacNaughton, Liberal bagman and fmr ambassador to the US, co-founded ubiquitous lobby shop, StrategyCorp, with his wife, architect of Mike Harris' "common sense revolution", Leslie Noble. StrategyCorp, made up of many former Ford govt staffers, lobbies for Therme. Noble also works for Therme.
