Great field trip as part of the Ecology course at @cienciasulisboa.bsky.social to Companhia das Lezírias - CL 🌿
Throughout the visit, we stopped at several thematic stations where students had hands-on experience with ecological methods: from techniques to study plant–insect interactions, to assessing ecosystem services provided by biocrusts, as well as methods for studying birds, small mammals, and fish.
There was also time for a botanical walk, where we admired the spectacular flowering of Serapias orchids, boosted by the winter rains, and discovered unique species such as Euphorbia transtagana, an Iberian endemic, but “almost Portuguese” 😉
