I read @nome.bsky.social ‘s posts about ADHD and went “well, shit.” Was diagnosed at 42. My depression and anxiety didn’t disappear, but my reactions to them did. I’m still on antidepressants but I don’t feel like I’m drowning. ADHD meds save lives. www.southampton.ac.uk/psychology/n...

A thread I'm transferring over, answering a question asking me how I was doing after a few years medicated for ADHD - how my comorbid conditions (depression, anxiety) were doing, how the medication was working. I answered there, but here it is again: My depression is functionally gone.
