Completely random related thing: When last I visited Iceland, we went snowmobiling on Eyjafjallajokull and had thundersnow and lightning. Our guides were SO EXCITED about the thunder and lightning, because it's so rare there.
Where I live, we get thunder and lightning almost every day in summer.
