Yesterday marked the start of trial in the fight to keep #DennyBlaine open, accessible, and welcoming. Thanks to everyone who showed up, supported the case, and followed along.
Here’s a quick recap of what happened.
One year ago today, a woman was trespassed from Denny Blaine for sunbathing nude. The community pushed back & confirmed with the police chief, simple nudity is not a crime. Now, through friends of Denny Blaine’s efforts, SPD says private security cannot patrol the park. This beach is for every body.

Saturday, May 2, 10:00 AM at Denny Blaine Park. Community, cleanup, FDOB.
Court confirmed toplessness is allowed parkwide, including the “Clothing Required” Zone. Private security had no legal basis.
This is a victory. Show up.
Two days ago we filed a motion asking the court to confirm that toplessness is allowed at Denny Blaine. This comes after a parkgoer was confronted by private security hired by a neighboring homeowner and told to cover up. That is not how public parks work.
