Great to meet @sharonhodgsonmp.bsky.social at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dietary Health Drop-In!
We discussed the link between obesity and cancer, and the importance of commitments in the 10 Year Health Plan to improve our food environment. 🍎
Organised by @oha-updates.bsky.social.

Alcohol is a Group 1 carcinogen linked to 7 cancers - yet just 7% of the British public are aware of this fact.
@sadikal-hassanmp.bsky.social's op-ed in @thehousemag.bsky.social highlights this low awareness and why the UK Govt’s commitment to introduce mandatory labels on alcohol is so vital.
Alcohol is linked to at least 7 types of cancer, yet only 1% of alcohol products in the UK reviewed by @aha-uk.bsky.social and @alcoholfocus.bsky.social carry cancer warnings.
Their new report highlights the need for mandatory health information on alcohol labels.
