Today, at the last day of the 2025 Session of the CCW GGE on Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems (LAWS), Brazil delivered a statement on behalf of 42 States, co-drafted with Ireland, Norway and Switzerland.

Today we had the pleasure of hosting students of the @ox.ac.uk Programme of MSc in Diplomatic Studies to share Brazil’s perspective on current disarmament challenges, in particular on biological weapons, automous weapons, military uses of AI and outer space security.
"Brazil refuses to accept that the multilateral disarmament regime is destined for irrelevance. They require reform, political will and a willingness to confront the fundamental reasons for its long-standing stalemate. Brazil will continue to work towards that goal."
