Our Lady of Rocamadour is famous for interceding on behalf of sailors and captives, hence the ship theme and shackles in the chapel!

Following in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims, up the 216 steps of the 'Grand Staircase' to the Sanctuary above. 👣
Pious pilgrims may climb on their knees or say an Ave Maria at each step. (Tourists far outnumber pilgrims today!)
