I suppose you could just discuss a completely different topic altogether but at that point there is no harmonization of opinions achieved and there is just that remarkable tension perpetually present within any interaction afterwards. If taste is subjective then what reason is there to even argue?
As a writer I truly want to evoke in Dismalia a sense that the philosophies and ideas explored come from a higher place of personal derangement and an unstable mind tormented by doubts yet also resolute in an unyielding vision for life.
What is the point of disagreeing with people on media if the reason you like something they dislike is the very reason they disliked it and viceversa? At what point is it just pointless to try and engage critically with others when we are fundamentally so different in what we derive out of art?
I **hate it** when I watch a youtube essay that covers "problematic media" in a way that I wish they would be talking about Viziepop and the work of her team because I swear they only use those pro-art arguments to discuss any artist but her and the seclusion is severely infuriating to tolerate.
