Neuroscience postdoc at NYU Grossman School of Medicine researching glial cell contributions to neurodegeneration.

So proud to see my former undergraduate mentee, @lizthayer.bsky.social, defend her PhD at @mcbillinois.bsky.social! From @chopralab.bsky.social at @purduechemistry.bsky.social to this moment, its been wonderful to watch her grow as a scientist. This acknowledgment slide made me emotional 🥹💕
Revisiting my K99 application which I submitted in year 3 of postdoc. Reviewer 2 comment for 'candidate weakness': “Only 6 publications total, with just 1 first-author paper as a postdoc.” 😑
Those 6 publications included 5 PhD papers (4 as first author) and 1 first author postdoc paper.
Foundational work on astrocyte networks by Melissa and team -- absolutely stunning images and videos! 🤩
