if i see anything under the aye-eye section on a steam game it's an immediate skip, no matter how cool it looks.
just hire artists!!! i'd rather see the the worst human made developer art instead of gen ai slop. i beg. it doesn't have to be "inevitable" that's just speak for lazy/cheap
