Apparently, there has been some sort of sporting event in the USA.
From comments on BlueSky, the gist seems to be: one team were favourites, Trump turned up to support them (ordinary civilians got barred from the streets of their city) & the favourite team suffered the 'Trump Support Curse' & lost.
When vandalism felled the ancient Sycamore Gap tree, many feared its story had ended.
Instead, conservationists, charities and communities across the UK helped create a new beginning .
Now, here in the Broads, grows a tree of hope...

This is incredibly sad. His poor daughters have lost both parents within months.
His partner, Sarah, was a patron of Holly Hedge Sanctuary, where I volunteered when I lived out that way, & they had a farm nearby.
Lovely family & he was such a talented singer & actor.
