Sunrise approached Shinichiro Inoue, President and CEO of Kadokawa Shoten, about publishing a brand new Gundam manga written and illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. Not only did Inoue like the idea, but being a fan himself, he really wanted to get a look at YAS’s sketches.
