Thank you for the skull, @havehashad.com ! Today "THE INCREDIBLE SADNESS OF FOOD SHOPPING," is out! This (run-on sentence) is a prose poem about, well, the title says it all (remembering food shopping with a wee one now that he's less wee.)

Here is a picture of us at my Smith College graduation in 1998 and my dedication to her in my poetry collection, Perforated.
So much of me - who I am, how I parent, how I love - comes from Aunt Dora. And Aunt Dora is present in so many of my poems. How could she not be?
Today is her birthday and I'm thinking of her. Tonight we'll toast her over pizza with black olives and sausage, which we often used to eat together.
