It's so funny to me that right-wingers love to pretend to love the Middle Ages and the Crusades and all that and then complain that the Pope shouldn't get involved in politics.
Congrats to a new member of the Congressional Freethought Caucus (CFC), Rep Val Hoyle (OR-04)!
The CFC protects our government's secular character and promotes public policy based on reason, science, and moral values.

For NJHN's May 31 program we'll watch a video by Genetically Modified Skeptic @gmskeptic.bsky.social on the Texas massacre of Freethinkers in the mid-1800s, followed by an open discussion on the ongoing threats of Christian Nationalism. Monroe Twp Public Library Program Room, 1:30pm.
One of the best aspects of Humanism is having an appreciation for everyone's life experiences that bring us together with respect and compassion. May we enjoy this second Sunday in May in whatever ways we've created for ourselves and those we love and cherish. 2/2
AHA's Fish Stark talks about conditions at Delaney Hall in Newark and asks that we call our representatives to demand it and other detention centers around the country like it be closed. Humanists in NJ are lucky to have @kim.senate.gov and @booker.senate.gov speaking loudly and out front on this.
