Freelancers are an important part of the heritage secor, & taking some of these points of basic fairness on board would go a long way. (I've sat on various groups often as the only person not either paid to be there as an employee or retired; I want to contribute but have limits.)

I've been plugging away arranging book tour dates. I have 46 confirmed, which is pretty good as I don't have an agent. However, I keep encountering event organisers who assume they do not need to pay authors on a book tour... and I want to discuss that in a thread 1/🧵
