I know it's hard to wake up
Because the sun's in your eyes
And sometimes life kinda sucks,
But you got this.

So I'm just hopping in to say:

And as I content myself with that, I remember that's part of what it means to be human: to content yourself with the finite bounds of existence. To come to terms with that.
That is what genAI and monsters like Musk will destroy the world to try to avoid: peace with the finite.
I immediately dreamed big dreams of video games, movies, TV... the visual representations of what I can only imagine.
And I came to a peace with that thought. Those things will never happen. I'm a silly little person, writing silly little words. Doing that is sufficient.
If everyone buys my games, then I don't have to sell them anymore. We all win!

As I was reading I thought about Midnight's Chains, the art deco vampire city under perpetual darkness. It's a setting I've kicked around for years, now.
I thought about writing in it, for the sake of it. I thought about where I would want to see such a setting realized.
This is really good and very useful.
I basically started off in TTRPGs by making something then trying to sell it. Every time I've tried to sell my games, I do okay then trip up. I am not made to sell games.
It's really good to remember this.
Been a while since I've mentioned it, but I'm very much looking for more work.
