Though she be but small, she is fierce. A typical whiskered bat, does not yet realise she needs my help. Or appreciate my efforts. So gorgeous. 🥰🦇

If you can't do a lot, do something. Three years between these photos and so much life has arrived. #loveponds #dosomething

First year of life is tough for any bat. Probably born last June, this one was a tad under 4g when found wedged behind a pipe at ground level. Now she knows that mealworms are food, she will get a second chance to thrive and could live more than 30 years. Remarkable bat. #lovebats #batcare

Tonic immobility aka "playing dead" can happen when an exhausted bat feels threatened. It's one way to make a predator lose interest. This little guy doesn't yet know I'm his friend. #yougotafriendinme #batcare #lovebats
This beautiful Noctule bat found on the ground with a damaged wing. He's settled in well, I just caught him eating "second breakfast" .... 😅🦇

Bat care can be hard but it can be brilliant too.
Beautiful ♂️ noctule bat came in two days ago, found with torn wing membrane. Fed himself from a dish on night 1, gaining weight and has started healing process already (new white skin along edge). Go on bro, make my job easy 😊#lovebats #batcare
