Big news: Georgia Republicans have dropped their plans to pass new gerrymanders targeting Black Democrats today over fears of energizing Dem turnout this fall. They planned to pass new maps for 2028 in case they lose the 2026 governor’s race. They could still do it in the lame-duck period though
