A lot of ppl who don't follow me quoted this to say costuming & set dressing do in fact have narrative value. Which is why I mentioned them. Cuz just like sex scenes, the narrative value may not be as obvious as things like the dialog and plot. It's easier to believe I'm being trolled sometimes
Ppl will be like "if the sex scene has no narrative value it shouldn't be included." Ok, jokes have no narrative value. Does costuming have narrative value? The set dressing? Maybe some parts of a story can just be there because they are ENJOYABLE. What a concept
