I worked at the customer service desk at a NYC Loews theater. There was a massive wall of tvs in the lobby right in front of me that blasted A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlson 24/7, every day for a month. I believe this to be a kind of psychological torture only retail workers know

Don’t limit it to the 90s, they constantly played this song right up until their death. Like every other damn song over the store speakers…. I worked there almost 2 decades ago and I still can’t stop it from entering my brain every so often, so thanks for this.
