One bit of "retro tech" that I wish really makes a comeback like how record players did is compact cameras.
My first one was a Kodak that could do 12 megapixels back in 2010 or so for $100. They just have to be decent for the price their asking. 12 megapixel stills, 1080p video is just fine.
