Christie hated Main Character Poirot so much, and how he took too much audience attention, that she literally stripped Hercule out of her own stage adaptations of his novels, replacing him with other, less famous characters.

Seriously, did Russell T Davies re-read his original wishlist from when he first took on Doctor Who and realise the ONLY thing he hadn't done yet was invent a fake missing episode for fans to obsess over for the next 63 years? #doctorwho
I actually think I would genuinely enjoy a surreal Green Wing style sketch comedy show based around the premise of the search to find the next production team for Doctor Who. The only true challenge would be producing 6 whole episodes without a David Tennant cameo.
So, while Christie would have hated Edward Bluemel in the role, she also would have had Things To Say about David Suchet, and I'm pretty sure that whole giant moustache business means she's literally haunting Kenneth Branagh right now.

Does he still count as a nepo baby or has he officially made it now?
To Christie, the whole point of Poirot was that he was a background character no one pays any attention to at all. As soon as stage adaptations started rolling in, she discovered to her horror that any actor cast in the part considered it to be a lead role and performed it accordingly.
I see there are a lot of feelings floating around about the young and dashing Edward Bluemel being cast as Hercule Poirot. Before everyone froths up about this, I do think I should let you all know that Agatha Christie hated the very idea of Hercule Poirot being played by LITERALLY ANYONE.
