The other day I saw somebody replying to a Christopher Nolan where he talks about not having a smartphone or never using email, saying "when he says this, it means somebody else is having to read the emails for him, so problematic!" Discovering in real-time the concept of an assistant, a paid job.
i absolutely love Sink, and was thrilled to write about how @johnlees.bsky.social & @alexcormack.bsky.social's banger indie comic has made me deeply afraid of Scotland

This is great! Very cool to see SINK #1 get this extended showcase. I actually revisited the issue just this week for the first time in a while, and while there is of course stuff I'd change if I was doing it now, I'm pleased that it feels like it still mostly holds up.
I'll be at Excelsior Comic Con Rutherglen at the Rutherglen Town Hall this coming Saturday! I'll be bringing new books ORLA! and GRAWLGORE & SHANKS, as well as old faves like SINK, THE NASTY and more. But I'm only able to attend for the first couple of hours, so come find me between 10am and 12pm!
I swear, as recently as earlier today I thought “Maybe I should watch The Boroughs, looks pretty good,” then I thought, “Nah I’m gonna give it a couple of weeks and see if Netflix cancels it first so I don’t get invested in another doomed show.” Good brand-building there, Netflix.
