There are currently 13 seasonal forecast ensembles used to predict future El Niño / La Niña.
Diversity is good, but there remains broad disagreement among them, with some suggesting all-time records.

A new paper by the Northern Tornadoes research group (I think) highlights some major concerns for Canadians outside of existing weather radar coverage.
I noticed that in the Quebec/Labrador border region near two major communities there was an EF2 tornado. There is no weather radar coverage here.
