You don't have to go as far as SRS. The standard 'defense' of youth trans healthcare I've seen focuses 'misinformation'. "No one's being rushed into it," the well-meaning ally chides. "The system of grinding, years-long wait times for access to a stopgap is working as intended."

bottom surgery for trans teens is an easy thing to fearmonger about but it’s also easy to push back on rhetorically. “no one is doing SRS on teens!” is a weak argument that is also not true and throws trans kids under the bus.
