If I behaved as an openly trans woman representing tenants and criminal Defendants for one SECOND the way cis white men lawyers do representing banks, landlords, and the state, I'd be held in contempt. I couldn't act like that for ONE SECOND.
If children aren't able to make responsible choices, then we can't make them criminally responsible for their choices 🤷
This opposing counsel who IN OPEN COURT called me a "terrorist" and "Hamas lover" for representing Muslim tenants, and says "landlord lives matter too" whenever I represent Black tenants, just said that "all Sheryl does is help freeloaders not pay rent and smirk about it"
It really bothers me how the Fair Housing Act, one of the best and most important laws ever passed by this country, is a constant direct target of the right and is taken for granted to the point of being almost completely ignored by much of the left.
Actually, no child should ever be sentenced to prison, let alone DECADES there.
You won't let kids transition because you're so afraid of life altering consequences, but you're fine with locking them in cages for years on end?
