It really cannot be overstated how useless supposed Leafs "insiders" are. Never heard Hiller's name once in the leadup to this hire - was never mentioned in the long list, short list, anything. Meanwhile people out there saying Patrick Roy was a favourite

I don’t care who the Leafs hire for their in denial that the window has closed years, whatever. But it’s objectively hilarious how airtight the front office is when you consider how much money is being made by people pretending they have sources in there.
