Kids who desperately need community - trans kids, queer kids in general, neurodivergent kids, disabled kids, abused kids, etc - will suffer because of this. The Internet is often the only place they can find other people like them and realize they're not broken or alone.
There's some subtle design differences, mostly in her facial structure. Smaller nose and mouth, either no eyebrows or round eyebrows, sometimes a different boot design, etc.
Personality-wise she's a bit more assertive and mature, which contrasts with the innocently kind and air-headed Pac-Man.

Trying to sketch faster and looser
These fuckers actively attempting to sabotage Pac-Man's resurgence and having a big part in fucking over the 40th anniversary is something I don't think I'll ever forgive, but even that aside: their output was utter slop that I'm surprised they stayed afloat for so long.
