I did miss it, but glad to catch up with this ... radical ... "helioengineering" proposal to protect Earth from extreme solar storms.

ICYMI: For the first time, space scientists have devised a way to protect all of Earth from a massive solar storm like the Carrington Event. And it seems entirely feasible. This a big conceptual jump and could chart a new course for how we protect humanity from severe potential disruption.
