An earlier glimpse of FFXII from an 2004 Aussie press kit disc. The camera perspective and wide text UI make me think of some earlier screenshots of FFXIII? But given that development on that began the same year, and it was originally intended for the PS2, could be why.

If there's a familiar audio vibe to the title screen for Age of Wonders (1999), it's because it's Impulse Tracker music from the same ex-Dutch Amiga demoscene composer as Unreal Tournament and Deus Ex: Michiel van den Bos.
📺:Age of Wonders, Triumph Studios, 1999 (Win 9X) A challenger to the throne held by Heroes of Might & Magic — with some tricks up its sleeve and an awesome Impulse Tracker soundtrack. AoW felt like something pretty special, blending deeper role-playing and Civ-like elements into the familiar mix.
