When the President forced a handpicked John F Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts board to add the Trump name to this cherished living memorial to fallen former President, the American people and Kennedy family immediately called out the action. Today the renaming was finally reversed.

On Saturday, my beloved hometown of Toledo, Ohio, suffered tragic and senseless gun violence in our storied Old West End community. I thank all of my colleagues who joined us this evening on the House Floor for a moment of silence to help lift up all impacted in our Toledo and NW Ohio communities.
Honored the beautiful, generous, faithful, and patriotic life of Mary Jane Flores. Mary Jane was a lifelong Catholic who not only practiced her faith, but she lived it. Her legacy lives on in all the thousands of lives she so nobly touched, certainly in her own family, but also across our region.
We’ve lost a true American Patriot with the passing of Walt Churchill Jr. I fondly remember visiting Walt Churchill’s Market, sharing stories of our family markets, and seeing his pride to carry on his father’s legacy in the family business. I join all across our region in mourning Walt’s passing.

Yesterday Speaker Johnson forecasted his secret plan to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Today, the President said he loves inflation, which hit 4.2%, and thinks the numbers are great. Northwest Ohioans don’t want Social Security cuts and can’t afford higher costs.
This weekend there was a mass shooting in Toledo—12 people were shot. Thanks to dedicated first responders with years of groundbreaking training, no one died. Training of this type was developed by the CDC Firearm Injury & Mortality Prevention Research Program. Today's GOP bill defunds the program.

I don't agree with cuts to these hard earned benefits and I don't agree that inflation is great. They need to get outside the Beltway Bubble.
