Instead of asking “Will global investors reward the pound?”
We should ask,
“What international public institutions can stabilize payments while countries build housing, energy, care, transit, food systems, and decarbonization capacity?”
Imagine a leftist internationalism that says:
A country undertaking socially necessary public investment should not be punished through currency pressure, import bottlenecks, or foreign-exchange panics.
A Loop-style public banking system could start to provincialize bond markets by making public liabilities circulate through public balance sheets instead of constantly seeking validation from private capital markets.

I've stood up for the LGBTQ+ community as a city council member, and I will continue to do so as Tampa's next mayor. Every Tampeño has a right to live with dignity—and I'll enact actual policy to protect that right from threats in Tallahassee, Washington, or anywhere else.
We're proud every year to put up our custom-made City of Tampa Pride Flag to show our support for anyone who is marginalized because of who they are or whom they love.
I guess there could be some good sides to the fact that someone so transparently evil has become the primary personification of unprecedented wealth and the power that comes with it. Could go either way!
