candidates who advance your policy priorities are going to have to run against the party. they can do so from the left or the right. you can choose how you react to both options and whether your reaction is an adult one that is cognizant of political reality and a strategy to move us leftward.
The margin of error on this data is big enough that the only take away is that — as people who know Maine have repeatedly predicted — attacks from outsiders backfire. It simply wasn’t a successful way to undercut Platner. The more outsiders attacked, the more Mainers have dug in their heels.
