Columbia biz-school professor Len Sherman has a new study out, based on GigU data from three longtime Uber drivers, documenting how Uber has leveraged algorithmic pricing to lift its take rate to 50%. "It's unimaginable," he said of that pricing-power exercise at a #WebSummitRio press conference.
Reuters is reporting that Nick Bilton has hired a 24-year-old associate producer at his production company to serve as the 60 Minutes operations manager.
Bilton's also brought on a TV consultant to act as his "chief of staff" during this transition.
