"That's great, but how's the game?" It's okay. Some banger moments -- but like most Sierra games, it arbitrarily murders you on a perpetual basis, relies on weird platform navigation and timing puzzles, etc. But that's fine! It can represent a cherished memory without being a masterpiece.
I was considering Godot as I migrate away from RenPy. Goddammit. Next candidate is LightVN, although windows only and not having accessibility options is very worrying. I feel like I'm getting pushed out of my hobby by people laughing at me for not enjoying being force-fed sloppy "inevitability."
