Spending some of my gained time improving what we do in Maths around careers. Came across these lovely resources. Says it aimed at primary but I think they’re still nice to use with KS3 nustem.uk/stem-person-...
In #mathstoday I rolled out this classic SMILE activity in my Year 7 Maths lesson. Worked really well, although it never ceases to amaze me how slow some kids are at cutting out ✂️ 😴
In #mathstoday (well, actually yesterday) my Year 12s tackled another great Underground Maths problem. This one worked really well & stimulated loads of discussion, helping cement their understanding of logs. Definitely recommend 👍🏼 undergroundmathematics.org/exp-and-log/...
Come and teach Maths at my lovely school! I’ve been there 12 years and wouldn’t want to move anywhere else 😁 come join us! Follow the link for all the details 👇🏼 campden.school/work-here/

Matt is such a great ambassador for the GLOW Maths Hub. We’re so lucky to have him as an LLME. If you’re Teaching A Level Maths in Gloucs/Worcs, make sure you sign up for his Developing A Level Pedagogy work group.
Core Maths teachers - I’m looking at misleading diagrams/charts with my class on Friday. Anyone got any ‘great’ ones I can share with them? I’m going to use this classic but on the look out for a few more crackers @ecrmaths.bsky.social @davegjones.bsky.social @coremathscat.bsky.social
In #mathstoday, I’ve tried something new when marking #coremaths mocks. To try & reduce the “where did I lose marks?” questions on the big Paper 1 mock questions, I’m trialling a sticker detailing what is needed for each mark, which I can tick as I go. Made estimation & tax/NI marking much easier 😁
