not even a week post op & i feel basically normal, surgical sites just kind of vaguely feel like i had an ab workout the day before. fucking crazy honestly bc tuesday night i would have told you im never walking again and im going to end up addicted to oxycodone to live from the pain
honestly the entire process, the actual incisions have not been super painful— my right side was worse (there’s more incisions there) but the worst pains i’ve had have been secondary in the form of back pain from where i was positioned for surgery + gas related pains from the surgery itself.
unfortunate side effect: since i feel pretty normal, i keep accidentally pushing myself too far since im not in pain at any point and then getting dizzy/lightheaded and having to lay down for a bit 😖 the fact that its so hot outside doesn’t help!
and now it turns out, death’s not the end
she was a bone, we sharpened our teeth
the world owes more than they’ll pay
in the wind i heard them say...
oh, henrietta, we can live on forever

impatient for both healing & for my damn plants to flower already :/ my soil was dogshit & my plants are still establishing, in addition to odd weather, so i shouldn’t be surprised my stuff is late to bloom and still small, but i still want to see everything!!! cmon!!! hurry up!!!!
my surgeon also did a great job of hiding my incisions, it’s almost hard to check on them to make sure they’re healing well lmao

enjoy a bunch of bugs i’ve seen the past two days— i feel pretty normal at this point in my recovery, minus an occasional tightness in one incision, which is a normal byproduct of scar tissue forming. been doing a lot of short garden strolls lately!
