Hello! 👋 I'm hoping to raise money for two Bay Area cat rescues. If you post a screenshot of you donating at least $20, I will answer a style-related question for you.
But first, let me tell you about the rescues, why they're worthy of your support, and hopefully get you to adopt a cat. 🧵
Kinda obsessed with this new friendo. What’s he dreaming about??
Solo beeb phoeb posed sweetly by a heart shaped leaf 🪶
Seen at 8pm today, likely a Milde’s tarantula hawk wasp in the yard! Totally rocking the orange and black.
Those antennae!
In my unprofessional opinion, it was large enough to be a female - so no aggravating her cuz that sting is off the charts!!

5:30pm, one of the roadrunners paused to soak up some late afternoon sunshine, posing with concrete yard turtle. 🪶
It’s just that kind of late afternoon, if you’re more than 25 miles east of the beach.
Almost 6pm and temp is in low 80s f (28c) and humidity is 51% rH. Relaxing after dinner is in order! 🐇
Ravi taking a breather after giving chase to one of the kidlets. They did three loops around the backyard before the kidlet raced to the side yard and possibly to the neighbor’s yard. Hmmm

One of the larger and fancier wading birds. In our marshes is the avocet, but we’re starting to see a few of these long-legged waders around too!
This Black-necked Stilt was foraging in the muddy flats of a local marsh. They definitely qualify as fancy with those bright pink legs!

One of two visitors just now. Based on behavior, either Ravi (up on snack table) and girlfriend under the patio table- or kidlets Junior and BT. No chasing so not Ravi and kidlet. No courting, just snacking so… 🤷♂️

That should rid some parasites for sure!
1- roadrunner in parasite removal mode on small smooth gravel in the backyard.
2- temp check on the rocks, 139° f
(My bare foot was saying hotter!)
