@mooninabucket.bsky.social is one of my first and favorite writers that I discovered online during the pandemic. If you haven't read her work, today is the perfect day to do so.
I just edited a poem from 21 lines to 8. It was painful, yet necessary.
The proliferation of AI tools seems to have writers questioning whether our craft will become entirely infiltrated by people who'd rather take shortcuts than embrace the arduous process.
Don't worry, just keep writing. Keep reading. Keep loving what you put out into the world.

We've already received and accepted some exciting folio proposals.
If you are thinking of submitting a folio pitch to @anmlymag.bsky.social don't forget to include:
(1) framing/contextualizing your topic or theme
(2) positionality/authority of voice
(3) affected communities

When I told a friend the usual writer rejection/acceptance rate they were shocked and wondered how anyone could do it. Trying to smooth out perspective so acceptances are great but not signifiers of value and rejections are too bad but not signifiers of lack of value is practice. Congrats on a yes
