Today, 22nd June, marks an important date in the annals of Irish railway preservation & railtours. It was on this date 1986, that Westrail operated the first mainline special to use a preserved diesel locomotive, long before such an operation took place anywhere else in Ireland or, indeed, Britain.
Anyway, we go on.
A Dublin #painting, "Heuston III" I painted because I love train stations and the areas around them. This was my 3rd time I painted the main station for trains to the west of Ireland with the bridge that shares its name. And a bonus Luas for tram lovers. #SpéirGhorm #ArtYear #Art
