To be clear, their connections to Trump are just the start. Both of these men have appalling records of working in opposition to civil and human rights, which should also disqualify them from federal judicial service.

That day, the Senate will vote to invoke cloture on Justin Smith's nomination to the 8th Circuit. He's also Trump's personal lawyer.
